Real Estate Capital Europe: Maslow Named Alternative Lender of the Year — UK
“We are proud to announce that Maslow Capital has been named Alternative Lender of the Year: UK at the Real Estate Capital Europe Awards 2025 — one of the most respected accolades in the European property finance industry.”Ellis Sher, Co-founder & CEO, Maslow Capital
The Real Estate Capital Europe Awards are editorially chosen by the journalists and analysts at REC, based on a thorough, independent review of the market. Rather than relying solely on nominations, the editorial team examines year-round lending activity, loan data, and market intelligence to identify lenders that have genuinely stood out. Winning this award reflects consistent performance across the full breadth of the UK lending landscape — not just a single landmark deal.
A Record of Delivering for Clients in 2025
Throughout 2025, Maslow demonstrated wide-ranging activity across the UK, financing projects in key regional cities as well as London. Our lending spanned a broad spectrum — from landmark portfolio deals to specialist bridging facilities — always with the same commitment: helping clients move projects forward with certainty and speed.
Some of Maslow’s standout deals in 2025 included:
: The headline deal of the year. Maslow structured a €600 million whole-loan facility for Fusion Group — one of the largest single-lender debt packages ever arranged for UK purpose-built student accommodation — to fund five premium schemes across Birmingham, London, Loughborough, Glasgow and Cardiff, delivering 3,138 beds in total.
: A complex mixed-use regeneration facility supporting 487 co-living units, a 110-key hotel and a new PDSA Pet Hospital on Eynsham Drive — a short walk from Abbey Wood Station and the Elizabeth line. The deal was introduced by debt adviser Mantra Commercial and reflects Maslow’s ability to structure bespoke, multi-component packages for landmark London schemes.
: A development facility backing a 609-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Wembley, adding to an existing relationship that has seen Maslow provide over €136.8 million to YourTribe across PBSA schemes in Walthamstow and Greenwich.
: A developer exit bridging loan supporting 134 ensuite studios near the University of Sussex and University of Brighton, enabling CKC to stabilise occupancy and prepare the asset for its next phase — an example of Maslow’s expertise across the full lending lifecycle.
: The fourth deal in an ongoing partnership with Singapore-based QIP, bringing total financing across the relationship to over €73.2 million, with all four projects delivering PBSA assets in Edinburgh and Nottingham.
