Maslow Capital was enthusiastic to work with this experienced borrower and contractor to complete the delivery of a 263 purpose built student accommodation scheme in Coventry. The contractor, in particular, was highly experienced in student accommodation developments and known to Maslow from deals we had previously successfully funded.
Coventry, chosen as the Sunday Times “Modern University of the Year” in 2014 – 2016, was an attractive location for Maslow as the PBSA market is notably undersupplied at present. Currently, there are c. 2,700 PBSA beds provided by the private sector representing 11% of the student population.
The development is adjacent to the 33-acre purpose-built university campus in the heart of the city centre and is planned to deliver a significant proportion of its units in time for the 18/19 academic year.
