Maslow Capital was pleased to provide a £7.5m development loan to Castlemore Homes for the construction of 33 high-quality homes in Bucklesham, Ipswich. Among these homes, 9 are classified as affordable, addressing the need for more accessible housing options in the area.
The developer, Castlemore Homes, is committed to environmental sustainability and has set an ambitious goal of reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2025 across all of its housing developments. In order to achieve this, the developer is implementing a range of sustainability measures including the use of sustainably certified timber, harvesting rainwater, and incorporating energy-efficient features such as low energy pendant lighting or downlight in all rooms. The project will also benefit from integrated solar PV panels, air-source heat pumps, passive windows, and sophisticated remote energy management systems.
These measures will not only help to reduce the environmental impact of the development but also help to lower energy costs for residents, making the homes more affordable for residents in the long-term. This project aligns with Maslow Capital’s mission to support sustainable and responsible development projects, and we are proud to be a part of this initiative.
